Vietnam Highlight tour 10 days (starts from Ha Noi)


The trip starts in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, going through the central of Vietnam; Hue and Hoi An, Cu Chi tunnels and Mekong Delta before ending in Ho Chi Minh, the dynamic city. All the highlights of this stunning country are covered in this compact trip. History, old-world charm and vibrant color are just some of the things you'll experience on this journey through startlingly beautiful Vietnam.


Itinerary:


Day 1: Ha Noi city & arrival




  • Arrive at Noi Bai Airport. Welcome by your local tour guide and driver. The rest of this day will take time to explore Hanoi charm city on your own.

  • Overnight in Ha Noi


Day 2: Ha Noi city tour – Riding on a rickshaw – Water puppetry (B/L/_)




  • Breakfast at the hotel. At 08.30am, visit the Ho Chi Minh Complex, containing the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the Presidential Palace, Ho Chi Minh's house on stilts and the One Pillar Pagoda, continue to the Temple of Literature, Vietnam's first university. You will also visit the famous prison that American POWs sarcastically dubbed the “Hanoi Hilton” during the Vietnam War.

  • Take a relaxing walk along Thanh Nien street next to the famous West Lake. Visit Dong Xuan market and enjoy traditional food Cha Ca La Vong a Ha Noi specialty. Riding on a rickshaw  around 36 streets in the Old Quarter. You will have many chance to see local product handmade as well as doing shopping.

  • Enjoy water puppet show in the late afternoon.

  • Dinner on guest’s account.

  • Overnight in Ha Noi.


Day 3: Ha Noi – Ha Long Bay (B/L/D)




  • Breakfast at the hotel. At 08.00am, Pick-up at hotel and start the 3 hour-and-a-half drive to Halong Bay

  • 12.00 – 12.30 Embark on Calypso Cruiser followed by cruise briefing

  • 13.00 – 15.30 Savor a sumptuous lunch as Calypso Cruiser cruise further along the limestone islands of Fighting Cock, Dog Rock and Incense Burner...

  • 15.30 – 17.30 Visit Amazing Cave

  • 17.30 – 19.00 Enjoy drinks on Sundeck, snap photos the overview of Halong Bay, go swimming or just relax as the sun starts to set. Join in our brief Vietnamese cooking course on board while having some free wine.

  • 19.00 Dinner is served. Socialize with other guests or just laze around.

  • Overnight on board in a tranquil area. (Evening activities available: night squid fishing, karaoke, dancing...)


Day 4 : Ha Long Bay – Ha Noi - Hue (B/L/_)




  • 06h00 – 07h00 Start your day with swimming, exercise or photo hunting

  • 07h00 – 11h00 Have breakfast at sunrise.
 Get your hand on some kayaking, visiting Luon cave, swimming.
Option: For those who do not fancy kayaking can visit Titop Island to enjoy the panorama view of Halong Bay or just relax, swim at the beach.

  • Head back to the Harbor. Disembark at around 11h00.

  • Return to Ha Noi at 16.00.

  • Transfer to Noi Bai airport for boarding the flight VN1545 to Hue (19.10 – 20.20).

  • Pick up and transfer to your hotel in Hue.

  • Overnight in Hue.


Day 5: Hue City Tour (B/L/_)




  • Breakfast at the hotel. Pick you up at 8.00am from the hotel in Hue central, then transfer to the pier for a motor dragon boat ride along Perfume river, the first impression is a green and peaceful on both side of the river. First stop at Thien Mu pagoda, the magnificent architecture was found in 17th century.

  • Transfer back to Hue city centre to visit the Imperial Citadel, Flag Tower, Noon Gate, Nine Dynasty Urns, Nine Holy Cannons, Thai Hoa Palace. Enjoy lunch at Vietnamese restaurant for special dishes in Hue Vietnam.

  • PM: After lunch, visit King’s Tombs of Tu Duc, and handicraft villages such as conical hat making, bronze-casting, incense-making village and last visit at Ming Mang Tomb.

  • Return to hotel at 5pm.

  • Dinner on guest’s account.

  • Overnight in Hue.


Day 6: Hue – Lang Co beach – My Son – Hoi An (B/L/_)

  • Breakfast at the hotel. At 09.00am, Depart to Hoian. Relax at Lang Co Beach. Stop on Hai Van Mountain Pass of 30 km length, and then having a lunch in Danang

  • PM:  Drive to visit My Son, a ancient religion center of the Cham people in the past, 40 km to the South West of Hoi An town, another World's Cultural Heritage, then process to Hoi An.

  • Dinner on guest’s account.

  • Overnight in Hoi An.


Day 7: Walking around the ancient town (B/L/_)




  • Breakfast at hotel then we leave your hotel at 8.30, you will walk with your tour guide to visit around Hoi An: the old Tan Ky House, Covered Bridge, Phuc Kien Assembly Hall… you will also get a chance to enjoy the musical show at 10.00 a.m, and a visit to some of the handicrafts workshop. Shop for tailored made silk products or spend your time at the wonderful beach (4km away).

  • Dinner on guest’s account.

  • Overnight in Hoi An.


Day  8: Hoi An – Da Nang – Ho Chi Minh – Cu Chi tunnels ( B/L/_ )




  • Breakfast at the hotel. Free until transfer to the airport for boarding the flight VN1313 to Ho Chi Minh (11.15am – 12.25pm). Meeting your tour guide and driver on arrival.

  • Transfer to Cu Chi tunnels, an underground network of tunnels constructed by Vietnamese fighters during the struggle for independence. The tunnels contained hospitals, accommodation, etc. and were used as a military base for the Vietcong during the American war.

  • Return to your hotel.

  • Dinner on guest's account.

  • Overnight in Ho Chi Minh


Day  9: Ho Chi Minh – My Tho – Ben Tre  ( B/L/_ )




  • Breakfast at the hotel. At 08.00am, leave Ho Chi Minh city, enjoy the scenic journey along the National Highway bordered by green rice fields. On arrival at My Tho, visit Vinh Trang pagoda, take a leisurely boat ride along the river, view stilt houses, fruit plantations and fishing villages along the river bank. Proceed to Tortoise islet, have lunch in the orchard garden. Then a boat ride to An Khanh – a less touristy attraction in Ben Tre, enjoy cruising on a hand-rowed sampan under the shade of water coconut trees along natural canals, then enjoy seasonal fruit & honey tea to the sound of "Southern Vietnamese folk music", performed by the locals.

  • Visit a family business which epitomizes the idyllic rural lifestyle, taste delicious coconut candy & observe the pastoral life as you roam through the fruit plantations and villages.

  • End of your Mekong Delta Tour

  • Return to Ho Chi Minh by road.

  • Overnight in Ho Chi Minh.


Day 10: Ho Chi Minh city & departure (B/L/_)




  • Breakfast at the hotel. At 9.00am, Start a sightseeing tour to the Reunification Palace, which was the former residence of the President of South Vietnam until end of the war in April 1975, and some French colonial structures including Notre Dame Cathedral, the Old Central Post Office.

  • Tour of Chinatown and Thien Hau & Quan Am pagodas. After seeing the Emperor Jade Pagoda and the War Remnants Museum, we end the city tour with Ben Thanh market where anything and everything is for sale.

  • Transfer to the airport for your next destination.
